So I’ve seen people’s artwork on here, and I would love to share some of mine! 

The two pieces above are book sculptures made out of “The Dark Tower” by Stephen King.  The one on the left is the first book sculpture I ever made… the one on the right is a sculpture that now belongs to Mr. King himself and sits in his home (!!!!!) 

Now, I’m kind of scared to share these with Tumblr, because (according to some people) I am “destroying books and I should be ashamed.” So let’s get it out right now. I love books JUST AS MUCH as you do. I don’t believe I am destroying them. The beauty of a book does not reside in its paper and glue, but in the words that build worlds and pull universes apart and tell us their secrets. What I’m doing is not destroying this essential aspect of a book… I’m simply guiding it into another form through which it can tell its story. So please… PLEASE… don’t yell at me for tearing apart these books.
